I spent most of the week still working at home..sitting on my fanny punching codes on the computer. I didn't get as much exercise I wanted to, but I made sure I got my protein and drank my fluids.
I also started making my Nectar protein ahead of time and my fridge is now full of little jars everywhere! I just put 10 oz water in the jar,one packet of mix, and stir with a spoon. All it needs is a little stir before I drink it and I can just grab it when I need it. There is no room for an excuse now. Plus..it is cold already so when I put it on ice it tastes even better. I don't know what I would do without it!
Saturday, I spent the entire day doing laundry and trying on clothes from the closet. I got a great workout just from doing that! By night, I was exhausted, but I finally have an organized closet that is only filled with things that currently fit. Too-big clothes filled up a large tote! Not quite there yet clothes have a smaller tote and are waiting for me in about 20-40 more pounds :) I have to admit though--it is hard to let go of clothes you have had for a while. There is part of me that just doesn't think I should get rid of them. But that part of my life is done and over and I am never going back to it. So there they sit--waiting for me to decide their fate. Maybe I will save them for garage sale season next year. Maybe I will try and sell them online. Maybe I will just donate them. But everyone who is plus size and is basically forced to shop at Lane Bryant and Avenue knows that their clothes are far from cheap. That is part of the reason why it is not easy to let go. I did throw away my favorite pajama pants unfortunately. They were ripped and insanely big. I was actually afraid to wear them for fear of them falling down. Now THAT is an amazing feeling--throwing something away that is seriously big.
I also did something else that has been on my to-do list for a few weeks. I got new underwear!!! All of the old ones came out and now RIP in the garbage! My underwear...formerly a size 13, were absolutely baggy, saggy, and I could actually feel them bunched up in my butt crack when I wore pants! They closely resemble these:
OK so maybe I am a bit dramatic.....but I am so happy to say goodbye to those awful things! I bought an 11, even though I could have squeaked by with a 10. My bra size has gone from a 46 to a 42. I have moved into the more normal size range that I can buy at the average store..This makes me happy!
My new quest is to find a warm winter jacket and maybe some snow pants so I can play outside with the kids this year! It is not a fun adventure to find a coat--the dreaded arms that I got from my Grandma make it next to impossible. The last time I bought I coat was 5 years ago and that one is on its last leg. Plus size people have big arms sometimes..many clothing companies forget that. Some fat people even (gasp) workout and they need workout clothes. They seem to forget that too!
I forgot to take a picture of the scale the other day but I hit 273! That makes 56 pounds and I got to put a bead on my bracelet. The scale was kind to me 2 weeks in a row. Hot dog!
Looking ahead into the new week, I am going to continue to get my protein and liquids, but I also want to write things down like I used to. I want to see where my calorie level really is, and make adjustments if needed. My top priority this week is to go for at least 1 walk, and 15 minutes on the rebounder in the basement. Anything to push me in the right direction as far as exercise goes!
Thanks for reading!
