5 Weeks

Here is my 5 weeks update!  Lots of awesomeness to report!

I just have to say though...the scale finally decided to give it up and I reached 2 small goals.


What is cool about this picture is the fact that I am UNDER 300. That has not happened in about 4 years!  Another awesome feat is that I reached a mini goal of 30 pounds lost!  I even surpassed it--31 pounds since June 16.  In fact, last weekend, my capris were huge on me and looked terrible.  So I found some smaller on clearance and I am hoping they last me the rest of the summer.  It was truly an awesome feeling to  buy something smaller.  I was running out of sizes that fit in the store.  Now I don't have to worry about that anymore!

As far as eating goes, I am still trying to cope with hunger but not wanting to eat anything.  I bought a few different packets  of protein flavors and spit them all out.  That was not the best way to spend 13.00.   I have such taste aversions right now.  Oddly enough,I am liking tomato soup.  I put my unflavored protein powder in it and can't taste it.  But I hated tomato soup before surgery!   Now I eat it every day!  I was loving the protein hot chocolate from the office every morning as a little treat and now it makes me gag.  Just can't win!
I made the family spaghetti and meatballs for dinner so I decided to try a meatball.  I have to chew things to a pulp and just one little meatball made me stuffed.  It still blows my mind that this is possible.

So lots of great things are going on in my weight loss world and I have another goal of losing 10 more pounds before we go on an overnight getaway at the end of the month.  I am going to try even harder to get the right amount of calories and protein in so that will be possible!
